The urban development plan of Valle d’Aosta is, even today, one of the most interesting and fascinating proposals developed by the Italian architectural and urban planning culture of the 1930s. Developed between 1936 and 1937 by a group coordinated by Adriano Olivetti, who was its instigator, the Plan bore the signatures of architects Antonio Banfi, Ludovico L. di Belgioioso, Piero Bottoni, Luigi Figini, Enrico Peressuti, Gino Pollini and Ernesto Rogers, with the collaboration of Renato Zveteremich, director of Olivetti’s advertising office in Milan, and engineer Italo Lauro.
