DESCRIPTION:
This publication is one of the Strenna editions that Olivetti began producing in 1972 as Christmas gifts: a series of celebrated literary masterpieces, illustrated using specially commissioned drawings by contemporary artists.
This bizarre baron’s amazing adventures are recounted in the book published by Rudolf Erich Raspe in 1875.
It is not clear how much of the material in the stories came from the Baron himself, but it is known that most of them are based on folk tales that were in circulation many centuries before his birth. The illustrations are by Beppe Madaudo, who is regarded as one of the most notable modern cartoonists, alongside Milo Manara, Hugo Pratt and Crepax.
