Cappelli Identity Design’s identity project received an honourable mention in Osaka
Rome, Tuesday, 9 September 2025
We are proud to announce that the project Archivi Olivetti: the Dynamic brand of the Associazione Archivio Storico Olivetti, created by Cappelli Identity Design, has received an Honourable Mention at the ADI Compasso d’Oro International Award 2025, one of the most prestigious international recognitions in the field of design.
The international jury, which convened in Milan on May 22, selected the project among 34 outstanding entries that embody a strong vision of the future, in line with the award theme Designing Future Society for Our Lives. The recognition was officially awarded on September 5, 2025, at the Italian Pavilion of Expo 2025 Osaka, Japan, in the presence of international and institutional representatives, and collected in the Your Design For Better Lives catalog.
Archivi Olivetti, already a winner of the World Brand Design Award 2025, is a contemporary reinterpretation and forward-looking evolution of Olivetti’s legacy. The project integrates dynamic typography, a modular visual system, and the relationship between space and time, according to the Dynamic brand methodology conceived by Emanuele Cappelli, Designer & Founder of Cappelli Identity Design, who stated: “Olivetti had the ability to imagine the future before it arrived, and the Archive is the custodian of that vision. That’s why we designed a systemic and dynamic identity that remains coherent with Olivetti’s approach, where design is considered a cultural act for the community.”
“This Honourable Mention marks an important milestone in the shared journey between the Associazione Archivio Storico Olivetti and Cappelli Identity Design – a member of the Association since 2022 – to celebrate and enhance the productive, graphic, and intellectual legacy of one of the most influential brands of the twentieth century, while projecting the Association into the future and toward an increasingly contemporary and international audience,” added Gaetano di Tondo, President of the Associazione Archivio Storico Olivetti.
