“Un mare di numeri”. That is, to advertise the calculating machines, but to do so with style.
The works presented in the catalog, created by Olivetti’s studios and graphic designers, belong to one of the best schools that have characterized the 20th century in terms of graphic design. By always using an elegant correlation between the message content and the lettering used, they pushed the graphic expression to subtleties that are not only formal but also psychological. By resorting to a balanced layout, made up of syntax, metric, weights, spatial relationships, geometries, and well-played whites.
