DESCRIPTION:
Catalogue of the exhibition organised by the Olivetti Historical Archive Association on the centenary of the birth of Natale Capellaro.
In the catalogue, the figure of the great Olivetti designer is presented through a series of interesting testimonies and archival documents.
There is also a section dedicated to the technical data sheets, accompanied by images and data, of some of the most significant Olivetti products designed by Natale Capellaro: his “wise machines”.
” … I wanted to work in iron. I have loved building objects since I was a child. At that time, no one gave toys as gifts. I built them for myself. … Natale Capellaro’s dream
was the same one as all the other young people of Ivrea: to join Olivetti. And he began to work there on 7 December 1916, when he was not yet fourteen years old…”
